Field Equipment Technician needed to work various jobs throughout the US and Canada.  We are seeking skilled field service and maintenance technicians comfortable with travel who have experience working on welding equipment or other electro-mechanical production equipment. 

This is a direct hire role with a great company based out of the Suwanee/Buford area. There is a high potential for overtime/double time and offers additional pay for time spent on location.

  • Will be responsible for shipping and receiving welding equipment and components to various job sites with the help of a coordinator team. 
  • Will maintain, calibrate and troubleshoot to component level of field equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctioning automated welding equipment and parts.
  • Will work with in-house maintenance team, engineers and PM's for support.
  • Must keep accurate and complete maintenance records.


  • Must have previous experience with troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining automated equipment and machining tools, including wiring, circuit board repair, as well as mechanical repairs.  
  • Experience with military electronics and mechanics is a big plus!
  • Must be able to read and follow schematics.
  • Plus to have familiarity with automated and manual TIG and MIG welding processes.
  • CNC, PLC and Relay Logic Capable
  • Prior OSHA safety training in power generation, petroleum and chemical industries is a plus.  Must be able to work in these types of environments.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

This position is 100% travel.  Must be flexible to work when needed and on either on day, night or swing shifts during busy seasons.  Especially Spring and Fall time.  Will work weekends as well.  Will be highly compensated for overtime and double time.  Should be home for summers and Christmas season.  Most of your money is made in 6 or 7 months out of the year and will be off the down times for weeks at a time.    

Pay ranges depending on experience : $28.00 - $38.00/hour depending on experience.
