Description

Our client located in Watertown, Ma is looking for Lab Technician to join their first shift on a Direct Hire Basis. Our client is looking for 3+ years of Lab experience. 

Lab Technician

Responsibilities:

  • You will assist scientists and engineers in the design, manufacture, and testing of products
  • Follow all relevant SOPs, work instructions, batch records and other controlling documentation when performing activities
  • Prepare solutions for chemical processes
  • Perform solution spray-coating experiments
  • Perform preparation and inspection activities under a microscope
  • Perform routine and non-routine testing to produce reliable and precise data to support product development while following strict methodologies. Tests include mechanical properties via Instron and/or MSI radial expansion force gauge, optical microscopy, and scanning electron microscopy
  • Assist in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data and prepare summaries of laboratory results in graphical and written formats
  • Maintain appropriate lab notebook and other records in accordance with FDA.
  • Install, calibrate, operate and maintain laboratory equipment and machinery; participate in validation of equipment as required
  • Responsible for managing laboratory inventory levels for mechanical parts and chemical inventory
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks related to more than one project

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma/GED or Associates Degree in Science or Engineering
  • A minimum of five years of related industrial experience
  • Experience with polymeric spray coatings and working knowledge of spray coating technology is a plus
  • 40+ hours per week; weekly schedule may change per project demands
  • Strong skills with computer software including Microsoft office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient with basic lab skills and lab equipment with the ability to safely work with chemicals and solvents
  • Work under the direction of scientists and engineers with minimal supervision. Ability to take direction, work independently, manage time, and effectively interact with various groups and personnel
  • Experience working in cleanrooms and familiar with GMP guidelines
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety
