Position Title: Manager, Maintenance

Position Summary
The Manager, Maintenance reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for the preventative maintenance program as well as complete oversight and prioritization of unscheduled and scheduled repairs, machine shop, and leading a team of maintenance mechanics. The Manager must actively participate in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of machinery, machinery parts and facilities in a fast-paced environment in addition to being a key contributor in all improvement projects and facility enhancements.
Essential Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing, monitoring, maintaining and evaluating the preventative maintenance program covering all machinery, parts, tools and facilities
- Efficiently prioritizes all unscheduled and scheduled maintenance tasks and assigns work in advance on a daily, weekly and quarterly schedule
- Monitors in-progress repairs, determines duration of out-of-service events and ensures return-to-service time frames are adhered to, in order to minimize operational disruptions
- Responsible for leading a team of maintenance mechanics and offering guidance on changing over, setting, repairing, and improving performance on conveyor driven production line, canning, frying and packaging equipment, combining equipment, and providing support for the workings of auxiliary equipment
- Offer performance feedback to your team
- Assist in troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Assist President, Vice President of Operations and Plant Manager in designing machinery modifications
- Assist with installation and repair of plumbing systems
- Assist in handling and maneuvering large machinery components
- Monitor maintenance shop cleanliness, proper storage of maintenance supplies and equipment
- Timely and accurate submission of paperwork (as required)
- Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree – Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree/certification
- Five (5) years maintenance supervisory experience in a food processing facility
- Three (3) years experience as a maintenance mechanic in a food processing facility
- In possession of own tools
- 18 Years or older
- Legally able to work in the United States
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Welding experience
- Mechanical Engineering degree
- 480 volt/3-phase electrical experience a plus
- Bilingual – English & Spanish
