DAVIS Companies has partnered with a growing Manufacturing company to identify a strategic HR Director to lead their organization. 

The HR Director plans, directs, coordinates and enhances human resource management activities to maximize the strategic use of human resources while maintaining related functions, including employee compensation & benefits, recruitment, workforce planning, employee relations, inclusion and diversity, training and development, company policies, regulatory compliance and management support.

This position requires a solid foundation in the fundamentals of Human Resource functions including employee relations, recruiting and employment, onboarding, wage & salary administration, benefits, succession planning, training and development, workforce planning, change and growth management, performance management, AA/EEO compliance, safety, and employee engagement/retention. 

Required Education of the HR Director:

BS in Human Resources Management or related field


MS in Human Resources Management or related field

Experience Required of the HR Director:

  • 10+ years Progressive manufacturing human resources management experience.
  • 10+ years  Managing labor and employment law, compliance, administration, compensation, workforce planning, recruitment and retention.
  • 10+ years Strategic planning and execution in a growing organization. Assessing workforce competencies to succeed in the organization and the requirements necessary to operate plant machinery.
  • Assessing workforce competencies to succeed in the organization and the requirements necessary to operate plant machinery.
  • Proven track record of delivering strong results, developing and implementing workforce planning, onboarding and recruiting. Strong business acumen to work in a challenging manufacturing environment.
  • Analyzing and presenting complex information to senior leadership and leading and facilitating small and large working groups
  • Managing employee data in an HRIS and analyzing relevant metrics.
