The DAVIS Companies has a new full-time position for an Operations Manager on our Advanced Manufacturing team in our Marlboro, MA office.

Position Overview:

The Operations Manager is responsible for the overall success and development of DAVIS internal Sales and Recruiting teams. The Operations Manager will work with respective Sales and Recruiting Managers to implement best practices and growth initiatives for their teams. This position is designed to help lead, train, and develop successful DAVIS Employees and their long-term goals through culture, profitability and growth objectives.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Ability to lead and mentor direct reporting Sales and Recruiting Managers and respective teams.
  • Responsible for establishing and communicating clear expectations around DAVIS best practices for building relationships with customers and candidates to successfully grow their business units.
  • Fully understands the recruitment and sales cycle and is able to drive goal setting around individual and team metrics and KPI’s.
  • Understands and communicates customer and candidate market conditions and trends to set realistic and challenging goals for their division to drive growth.
  • Promotes an environment of collaboration and accountability for Managers and Employees.
  • Creates opportunities for advancement and is supportive of career growth. 
  • Responsible for managing and communicating their departments forecasting, budget, and P&L to DAVIS leadership.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate teamwork, cooperation, and drive through effective leadership.
  • Fully engaged as a strategic partner to the DAVIS Executive team.
  • Ensures Division compliance with quality management through system policies and procedures for their division and verifies work for accuracy of output.
  • Working cross-functionally to determine and conduct additional training opportunities for Employee’s on professional and individual development.
  • Shadowing managers and their teams to assist with training and coaching opportunities.
  • Assisting with pipelining candidates and clients for their teams to meet and/or exceed recruitment and sales goals.
  • Conducting weekly 1:1’s with direct Managers and assisting with daily requisition meetings as needed to support sales and recruitment teams.
  • Utilizing internal reporting tools (Power BI) to assist, train, and identify areas of improvement for teams through data analytics.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree Preferred
  • 5+ years of Staffing experience, including 3+ years of management experience preferred
  • Exceptional leadership abilities
  • Creativity, Decisiveness, Conviction, Discretion, Vision.
  • Excellent Organizational experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience with ATS systems (Bullhorn) is a plus
  • Prior experience in Recruiting and Sales within Staffing
