Description

Mechanical Engineer - Temp-to-Perm role - Norcross, GA area 

The Mechanical Engineer will work closely with the team to assist in in the design and engineering process including conceptualizing, digital modeling, prototyping, analysis (physical and simulation), and manufacturing support.

Responsibilities:
  • Expertise in thermal/mechanical finite element modeling and CAD 
  • Exhibits creativity in selecting approaches and techniques for obtaining solutions. 
  • Has a bias for action and agile methods, is unafraid to try things as a way of learning. 
  • Presents data internally and contributes to external publications when appropriate 
  • Seeks out others to enhance and streamline development and decision making 
  • Utilizes basic scientific or engineering principles and techniques to undertake specific tasks and projects with limited scope 
  • Troubleshoots and resolves problems in the design/execution of development projects 
  • Supports senior engineers and scientists in R&D team with their projects 
  • Executes and/or supports commercial and manufacturing support requests 
  • Manages and documents projects and tasks effectively with supervision

Qualifications:
  • BS Degree with three years experience, or an entry level MS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related. 
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis and 3D CAD modeling 
  • Comfort with basic machine shop equipment & techniques
