Description

A fast-growing medical device company in the northern Twin Cities metro has an immediate opening on their team for a Test Engineer I. The Test Engineer I is required to fully test the product or system to ensure it functions properly and meets the business needs.

Responsibilities of the Test Engineer I:

  • Testing all aspects of the product/system like function/component, system, performance, regression and service.
  • Test Engineers are responsible for conducting automated and manual tests to ensure the software created by developers fits its purpose.
  • Assessing codes is one of the main duties of test engineers.
  • Work with development team to identify and capture test cases, ensure version management
  • Setting up of test environments, designing test plans, developing test cases/scenarios/usage cases, and executing these cases.
  • Providing feedback on usability and serviceability, trace the result to quality risk and report it to concerned people.


Qualifications of the Test Engineer I:

  • Test and prove that the software meets major architectural requirements Prove for scalability and performance of a software Ensuring the quality of the system as a whole Work with firmware developers and validation engineers
  • Develop and automate tests for software validation
  • Detect bug issues and prepare file defect reports and report test progress
  • An understanding of the software development life cycle as well as the business approach for the product
  • Analytical skills
