Description

Code Compliance Technician (Welding/ASME Section VII and IX)

Well regarded company in the compressor/pressure vessel industry needs a dynamic Code Compliance Technician to join a growing team in Gainesville, GA. This temp to direct position offers growth and a great benefit program.

Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Pay rate: $19-21ph DOE.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating and maintaining WPS, PQR, WPQ/WPOQ for all weld procedures.
  • QC to review design changes and new designs from engineering.
  • Review and ensure MAWP.MDMT, BOM, weld callouts, calculations, and history are correct before job release to production.
  • Create and release ASME job travelers (SOPs) to production.
  • SOPs must include all welded components, testing information, serial number, and whether the vessel is U or UM.


Qualifications:

  • Experience with ASME section 8 code.
  • Experience using standard measurement tools (calipers, bore gauges, micrometers, etc.)
  • Ability to read Engineering prints.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact well with people.
  • Computer experience with Windows and MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must be detailed oriented and organized.
