Our client is hiring a Quality Assurance and Food Safety Technician to ensure and verify client's manufacturing process and final product conforms to internal quality standards, industry standards and food safety metrics.


Responsible for ensuring food safety and quality standards are met by routine monitoring of receiving, production and food storage activities. The QA Technician will help ensure adherence to established food safety standards, current Good Manufacturing practices (cGMP) and CCPs, throughout the food process flow.

You will be responsible for monitoring critical control points (CCP’s) and ensuring food safety and quality throughout the food manufacturing process in the commissary and as directed or required on the delivery vehicles

Responsible for filling out relevant daily records, logs and filing of QA documents

Responsible for verifying cleanliness of the facility and its environment by conducting and completing daily checks of food production and storage areas.

Responsible for label verification of all raw and finished products to ensure product is within required shelf-life. Reporting expired or unlabeled food kits or produce as required.

Responsible for stand-up education of food handlers on food safety and GMP standards upon observation of non-conformances


Responsible for documenting employee GMP’s, facility and site review and preform documented verifications of procedures.


Job Requirements:


Candidates must have a high school diploma, or equivalent

3 years of on the job experience in a food processing facility with previous food manufacturing and QA experience and job functions.

Experience in ready to eat foods a plus

Food safety training in GMP's, HACCP, FSMA is required.

Knowledge of FDA regulations.

Experience and proficiency with operating computer software, hardware and other technological applications is required, such as weights, scales, thermometers

Ability to focus and work individually and with a team.

Ability to maintain impeccable records and highly organized document control.

Ability to operate with urgency and in high-stress and sensitive environments.

Ability to effectively communicate and prioritize tasks.

Capable of periodically working in refrigerated and freezer environments.

Noise levels typical with machinery and food production

Various related tasks as assigned

Able to lift at least 30 lbs without issue, bend, walk, stretch, and reach as needed
