Are you a motivated Estimator with a strong background in cost estimating preferably in aerospace manufacturing environments? Are you looking for a long-term role where you can grow a career with a great company in the Fort Worth area?   • Prepare documented material cost analysis reports to establish and determine price reasonableness in compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, Cost Accounting Standards, and other government published guidance on Cost/Price Analysis.
  • Computes cost estimates cost estimates for raw materials, parts, and assemblies.
  • Generate Bills of Material (BOMs) to support development of material costing of proposals.
  • Review Bill of Material supporting technical data packages and analyzes specifications, including drawings, and develop parts listings at the assembly sub-assembly, and individual parts detail levels, and organize for proposal input.
  • Review and analyze material items and make a determination of commerciality under DSCA Guidelines and Federal Acquisition Regulation. Prepare and obtain evidence of commerciality from subcontractors or through other acceptable channels.
  • Documents, organizes, and maintains all essential material cost analysis backup data as required by government regulation and pre and post award audits.
  • Identify and work with Supply Chain and Program Management to identify potential sources for material and mitigate competition issues.
  • Communicate with program office and engineering community and other functions to establish cost estimates for proposals.
  • Review and advise on Technical Issues and Drawing/Specification interpretations for Supply Chain Buyers.


Experience required:

  • 5-10 years experience in Cost Estimating
  • some travel required
  • strong business acumen
  • strong Excel skills
  • ability to communicate with internal and external customers
