Description

Are you in the market for a new Investigation Engineer role that will elevate your career? Our client that is located just North of the Minneapolis / St. Paul suburbs needs a talented, experienced Investigation Engineer to join their team! This is a long term, contract to hire role. 

Top Requirements:

  • 5 years minimum in engineering experience
  • Experience with vehicle systems and architectures (Powersports a plus)
  • Detail oriented, good communication and presentation skills

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Serves as technical liaison between product engineering and product liability attorneys as required.
2. Performs investigations of accident vehicles and accident scenes (collects evidence, photographs).
3. Gives testimony (depositions, affidavits, and at trial) as requested by counsel.
4. Performs interpretive, critical analysis of opposing experts' reports and depositions.
5. Develops plans and interacts with product engineers, managers, and the Product Safety Manager to help ensure safety considerations are being appropriately addressed.
6. Review products for safety considerations.
7. Perform laboratory and field tests to assure safety considerations are met.
8. Participates in and makes suggestions regarding safety during the review of current and future products.
9. Assists with the Engineering review and disposition of Safety Claims.

Education and Experience:
1. B.S. degree in Engineering, 5+ years engineering and/or product investigation experience (preferably with consumer products).
2. Must have ability to perform on-the-spot failure analysis.
3. Must have ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely.
4. M.S. degree in Engineering preferred
5. Knowledge of off-road vehicle design preferred.
6. Professional Engineer license or desire to attain PE license preferred.
