Quality Engineer
We are partnering with an aerospace company in Atlanta, Ga who is looking to add a Quality Engineer to their team! The Quality Engineer's primary function will be to enhance the effectiveness and capability of the Quality Department to better support production operations through a hands-on approach of driving process and product nonconformity root cause analysis and corrective action, identifying critical characteristics for both in-process and final inspection (SPC), and the utilization of advanced measurement and inspection methods.


  • Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action of nonconforming product (internally and externally).
  • Analyze current process to determine area of deficiency
  • Assist Production Managers in formulating why (5 Why Methodology) the problem occurred
  • Record findings in a quick and accurate manner
  • Propose and test possible corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Write RCCA (SCARs) responses to customers for non-conforming product escapes
  • Develop Quality Control Plans for new part development
  • Develop general workmanship and part specific standards
  • Create objective standards rather than subjective criteria
  • Drive process control and procedure compliance for manufacturing operations
  • Drive process improvement with respect to inspection plans
  • Assist in the instruction and implementation of improved inspection methods
  • Assist in training for inspection using advanced measurement techniques:
  • Download and interpret CAD models of tooling and parts
  • Using portable CMM to conduct inspection and validate tooling and parts to product CAD models
  • Participate in the planning, preparation, execution, and reporting of internal audits
  • Analytical skills to interpret data and identify trends & in/out of control conditions
  • Mechanical skills needed to visualize how the manufacturing process works
  • Deductive reasoning skills to efficiently complete root cause analysis


  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering and a Minimum 2-years experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer in a manufacturing environment            
  • Quality Systems experience to include ISO 9001:2008 or AS9100 (would be a plus)
  • Knowledge and experience using Calipers and Micrometers
  • Experience using a CMM
