Are you looking for a Test Engineer opportunity where you can be part of a fast-growing medical device company? A northern Twin Cities metro medical company has an opening on their team for a contract Test Engineer I. The Test Engineer I will develop and validate novel electromechanical test methods, fixtures, equipment, and software tools to support medical device product development programs. This hands-on role will also support system, hardware, and disposables product verification activities. 

Responsibilities of the Test Engineer I:
• Design, develop, and validate electromechanical tools needed to support product test activities. These tools may include standard test methods, hardware fixtures, manual and automated electromechanical testing equipment, and data acquisition, data analysis, control, and reporting software.

• Demonstrate test method repeatability and reproducibility through GRR, MSA, and other analytical techniques.

• Develop hardware and disposables product verification protocols and reports.

• Support product test execution activities and report test anomalies for triage by the design team.

• Analyze technical data using appropriate statistical techniques and communicate outcomes through clear, concise reporting.

• Accurately predict task effort and duration and keep stakeholders up-to-date with status.

• Participate in continuous improvement of the organizational test and verification processes, practices, and tools.

Qualifications of the Test Engineer I:
• Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline.

• 0–3 years of experience.

• Ability to design, develop, and validate manual or automated electromechanical tests and testing systems.

• Understands principles of tool validation and use of statistical techniques to prove efficacy.

• Ability to support product test and verification activities.

• Experience supporting safety-critical product development in a regulated preferred.
