Purchasing Agent, Suwanee GA
We are currently seeking an experienced Purchasing Professional for our client located in the Johns Creek/Suwanee area!! This is a great opportunity with an established and growing client, role is full-time and Direct Hire!

Hours: 8 a.m.-  5:00 p.m.
Pay Rate: 50k-55k DOE


  • Direct the approval and qualification of vendors and suppliers, monitor and report on cost, schedule, and performance factors.
  • Monitor MRP activity to ensure proper level of inventory is available for projected sales; coordinate and liaise with other departments to determine materials needed.
  • Provide purchasing/costing input in the bids and proposals process as necessary.
  • Maintains master item list.
  • Maintaining databases of inventory and equipment shipments.
  • Create/Maintain Bill of Lading
  • Act as point of contact for vendors and suppliers. Manage relationships, resolve shortages, returned material, rejections, and losses.
  • Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications, negotiates pricing and delivery times; verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers.
  • Coordinating shipment of equipment and parts and making recommendations to operations management on short- and long-term equipment production and forecasts.
  • Compiling statistics and/or preparing reports, as requested by operations management.
  • Following up on equipment shipments to ensure prompt delivery; resolving any delivery issues as needed by conferring with production, shipping, warehouse, or common carrier personnel to expedite or trace missing or delayed shipments.
  • Performs warehouse control, inventory control, and related duties.
  • Serve as backup to shipping and receiving.


  • SAGE/MAS experience is REQUIRED.
  • Five to Seven years of previous manufacturing experience, including forecasting, scheduling, and real-time manufacturing, preferred.
  • Manufacturing: 4 years (Required)
  • Purchasing: 4 years (Required)
  • SAGE/MAS: 3 years (Required)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • Able to work with a diverse group of people.
  • Excellent project management and planning skills.
  • Must be able to function in a deadline driven environment.
