The company is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to help fill the void that will be left when their current Engineering Manager/ Vice President of Engineering retires next year. In this rewarding position, you will be able to guide the engineering team in the design and development of support products and accessories for the mobile electronics market. Key Responsibilities of the Engineering Manager:

  • Assign tasks and projects to engineers and technicians
  • Gauge and track progress of various projects
  • Develop project cost and time estimates
  • Communicate effectively with customers and vendors as the key technical interface
  • Collaborate with the Sales Team on new product ideas
  • Participate in regular staff meetings to help guide routine as well as longer term direction of the company
  • Act as main technical resource for Production area needs
  • Provide guidance and assistance with mechanical and electrical aspects of product design
  • Complete performance reviews and address internal issues
  • Key decision maker on production and test equipment hardware needs and acquisition
  • Review New Product Definition and Sales Request forms for accuracy and feasibility
  • Travel occasionally for customer visits or trade shows

Qualifications of the Engineering Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Experience with power electronics and DC-DC power conversion
  • 7 years minimum experience managing an engineering team
  • Good analytical, math, and problem solving capabilities
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with others
  • Good interpersonal skills to manage engineering team
  • Ability to make decisions quickly, sometimes with incomplete data
  • Familiarity with worldwide compliance requirements and issues
