Manufacturing Engineer

A mid size Manchester, NH area aerospace/defense and semiconductor contract manufacturer is looking for a Mechanical Engineer who is looking to take their career to the next level! 

This Manufacturing Engineer position is responsible for the creation of part drawings using Inventor, CNC programs and the development and definition of each manufacturing process necessary to produce acceptable parts. 



Qualities/Skills:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with customers, suppliers and co-workers.

Strong problem solving skills. Using a combination of solid engineering principles and common knowledge.

Ability to multi-task and adjust priorities using strong organizational and time management skills to meet time sensitive deadlines.

Accuracy and attention to detail.

Advances computer skills.

Knowledge of ISO/AS9100 standards and how they relate to process development.

Functions:

Creation of part drawings, tooling drawings, fixture drawings, CNC programs and all associated shop travelers.

Review of customer’s design for manufacturability and development of alternative approaches to ease the manufacturing process and reduce cost.

Design and procure tooling necessary for the manufacturing process.

Provide day to day technical support to production personal.

Interface with customers, suppliers and inter-company departments as required.

Participate in MRB and Job Cost meetings.

Analyze current production methods and recommend improvements.

Research and qualify potential new equipment purchases.

Initiate the procurement of raw materials.

Track new jobs throughout the manufacturing process to ensure that the conceived manufacturing sequence is being achieved.

Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Follow all safety rules and company policies as prescribed by the handbook.

Follow all documented ISO/AS procedures and policies.
