Description

As a Procurement/Supply Chain Manager you will be responsible for day-to-day management of material flow,  production and purchasing and receiving activities to support ongoing product development, clinical trial and commercial activities. Responsibilities include evaluating and supporting the approval of suppliers, ensuring 
effective supplier management and developing new supply sources as needed as well as obtaining materials, components, and equipment, gathering quotations, examines bids, and executing purchases. 

Responsibilities
• Interact with key stakeholders in identifying and maintaining the resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain aligned to the business needs.
• Drive and support material planning and procurement execution to ensure effective flow of material for development and production needs
• Establish and track key performance metrics for supply chain and procurement activities and management
• Works with Quality Team to evaluate and select suppliers based upon assessment of their quality system and capabilities
• Monitors the performance of suppliers and assess their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements
• Negotiates pricing, terms and conditions for materials and delivery with suppliers, vendors and/or shipping companies
• Ensures that Confidentiality Agreements and necessary contracts are established with suppliers
• Manage order fulfilment and finished product distribution/shipment to customer and distributions when necessary.
• Support shipping logistics relating to component and finished goods, including import/export control.
• Processes purchase orders in accordance with company SOP’s/policies and communicate purchase orders to suppliers and internal customers
• Confirms availability of goods and delivery date for purchase orders provided to suppliers
• Builds positive working relationships with our internal customers and suppliers
• Works with new supplier credit departments to establish new accounts and complete credit applications, tax exemption documentation and other required forms
• Learns internal financial and operational compliance processes and assist in ensuring purchasing related controls are fully adhered to
Must Have: Minimum Requirements 
• Prior experience in mid to low volume supply chain management for development and production environments
• Prior purchasing experience including process of purchase order/requisition fulfillment
• Basic knowledge of Accounting, General Ledger and Account Coding
• Strong business communication acumen
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and attention to detail skills
• Self-starter and team player with a customer service-oriented mindset
• Excellent PC skills including MS office products
Nice to Have
• Knowledge of Strategic Sourcing methodologies
• Experience working in a medical device or pharmaceutical organization
