Are you looking for a new engineering challenge? Our client in Medical manufacturing needs an experienced Project Engineer to join their team in the North metro! This is a direct hire opportunity with exceptional growth opportunity! 
The Project Engineer will be a combination position of a Project Engineer and a Manufacturing Engineer. This individual will interface with customers, engineering, quality, manufacturing, and operations in order to bring awarded customer projects from quoted
concept to product realization. 

Essential Job Functions of the Project Engineer: 
  • Initiate Project Management processes and tools for all new projects. Projects may be customer awarded projects or internal projects such as capital equipment, facility layouts, process improvements, etc.
  • Manage all pre-production meetings, stand-up manufacturing meetings and customer meetings in regard to new projects and customer requests
  • Develop manufacturing models, prints, routings, and PPI’s (Part Process Instructions) for all project components and assemblies
  • Support the designed processes as needed in regard to fixtures, models and drawings, manufacturing research, part handling, etc.
  • Disposition internal and customer rejected materials and coordinate root cause analysis and implementation
Minimum Requirements of the Project Engineer: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing or other engineering science
  • 5-10 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Fluent with a CAD program (Solidworks, Creo, Unigraphics, or equivalent) in order to manipulate and generate models and customer/manufacturing prints
  • Knowledge of machining processes (Swiss, Multi-axis Lathes, 5-Axis Milling, EDM, Grinding, inspection methods, and properties of materials
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
