A fast-growing contract manufacturer in the northern Twin Cities metro has an immediate opening on their team for a direct hire Project Manager. The Project Manager will be responsible for providing project management and administrative support for the company engineering and quality functions and will be responsible for working closely with estimation, design, manufacturing, and engineering to support the strategic business objectives.

Essential Job Functions of the Project Manager:

  • Administer and manage customer projects; accountable for meeting/exceeding schedule, budget, and quality expectations
  • Collaborate with other departments to establish and achieve critical customer timelines
  • Own administrative functions of project-related assignments including overall planning, tracking and documentation of one or several projects from the project proposal phase to the project closeout
  • Develop and maintain engineering development database for catalog to include, customer quotes, conceptual drawings, design drawings, artwork, approved drawings of layouts and artwork, prints for manufacturing
  • Work in conjunction with the Supply Chain Manager to maintain the supplier forecast spreadsheets to keep our supplies abreast of upcoming work to meet the critical timelines in the project
  • Track and maintain Gantt Charts for each project
  • Provide any required administrative support to the Engineering Manager
  • Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
  • Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work
  • Understand customer needs and the core business markets we serve
  • Ensure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properly
  • Participate in required company meetings
  • Maintain an organized work area (5S)
  • Participate in the Operational Excellence Program
  • Complete all other work duties as assigned
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment

Minimum Requirements, Education & Experience (incl. KSA’s and certifications) of the Project Manager:

  • Associate Degree in Business Administration or a related field of study or 2 years equivalent work experience
  • Detail oriented and demonstrated experience driving action plans, schedules, and timelines
  • Electronic recordkeeping and documentation
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents and blueprints
  • Working knowledge of QMS, ISO 13845, GMP, FDA regulation
  • Multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in timely manner
  • Ability to consistently achieve short and long-term business results
  • Ability to follow through on commitments and holds team members accountable
  • Significant computer experience including MS Office products (Work, Excel, and PowerPoint), MRP/ERP systems, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Project

Desirable Criteria & Qualifications of the Project Manager: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Engineering Experience
  • Continuing Education; including participation in local chapters, associations, and/or organizations
