Sales Engineer / Project Manager
Our client in the Springfield, MA area is growing and looking to add on another Sales Engineer with an HVAC background, ideally working with commercial builders and clients.
Prior experience in the HVAC industry, mechanical engineering, mechanical contracting, wholesale distributor or commercial/industrial sales is preferred along with a proven sales ability.
This person will be responsible for managing existing and generating new commercial (business to business) accounts within a pre-defined territory and market. This person can expect to be traveling 50% of the time visiting all members across the value chain. This includes but is not limited to engineers, contractors, plumbing and heating wholesalers, facility managers and end users. This person will also be responsible for the project management of his own commercial constructions projects. Responsibilities will entail viewing mechanical, plumbing and architectural plans, estimating project costs, bidding, field measuring, ordering and ensuring delivery. Interactivity with mechanical contracting and MEP firms will be frequent and ongoing.
- Bachelors Degree preferred, but specific work experience is highly desirable as well.
- 5+ years working in a related field / role.
- Mechanical aptitude - In depth understanding of HVAC systems and components
- Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time with tight deadlines
- Computer skills - Microsoft office suite, Knowledge of HVAC design and application tools
