Production Supervisor

Responsibilities:
- Under direction of the Production Manager and working with Associate Supervisors
- Supervises, directs, and coordinates activities of 50 to 70 employees involved in various plastic injection molding and blow molding machines and packing products
- Remains highly visible on the floor, coordinating, coaching and supervising all production personnel
- Interview, hires, and trains employees
- Responsible for scheduling and assignments of shift personnel for the duration of each shift
- Organizes and executes the production of all molded parts
- Provides technical guidance regarding injection molding and/ or blow molding machine processes
- Insures all manufacturing orders are completed on time
- Maintains current production statistics and trends
- Assists in the decision making process in regards to cycle standards and process changes
- Assists process engineers to maintain proper set-up
- Oversees and participates in line clearance events, follows the "Line Preparation Clearance" procedure
- Insures all cases are labeled correctly, stacked on pallets and defined in the QAS for the job
- Makes frequent safety inspections
- Insures all production employees are trained in safest, most economical and efficient methods of operating the molding machines
- Participates in 5S projects as required
- Prepares and plans for daily schedules
- Finalize data for timely shift-to-shift transition
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in plastics or a related manufacturing industry with good technical knowledge of injection molding and/or blow molding machine processes
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Read and interpret documents, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
- Ability to write routine reports and speak effectively to groups of employees and leaders of organization
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Compute ratios, and percentages to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Good working knowledge of SAP, and MS office , Excel Word and Outlook
- Be able to work outside normal schedule when required
