Automation Technician/Robotics Engineer

The automation technician will be expected to implement new equipment and processes into production that will improve quality, efficiency, and or safety. This will include various technologies including robotics, PLC’s, machining and forming equipment (CNC and manual).  


  • Maintain Fanuc robotic equipment and troubleshoot problems that arise
  • Use programming knowledge to program Fanuc manufacturing robots to desired specifications
  • Perform maintenance on robotic equipment when needed
  • Initiate application of new automated milling equipment
  • Use industrial robotic automation knowledge to ensure efficient and productive operation of all Fanuc robots within the manufacturing facility
  • Perform preventative maintenance on robotic equipment
  • Be comfortable working on/within electrical PLC components to ensure proper and safe operation of equipment.
  • Lead the maintenance department within the facility (2 direct reports)


  • 3-5 years of automation experience
  • History of implementing automation processes within a manufacturing environment
  • Machine guarding and machine control safety
  • Lock out/tag out program knowledge
  • Strong electrical background
  • Print/schematic reading skills
  • Control systems training, PLC/prior experience
  • Understanding of pneumatic control systems, valves etc.
  • Mechanical aptitude, prior experience or training
  • Familiarity with industrial robots
