Are you looking for an exciting opportunity where you can be part of a growing industry? Well regarded company in the food industry needs a dynamic Warehouse Dock Manager to join a growing team in Swedesboro, NJ. This temp to direct position offers growth and a great benefit program.

Under the supervision of the Warehouse Director, the Dock Manager will be responsible for the loading and unloading of transport trucks and working with the Transportation, Orders, Inbound, Quality and USDA teams to ensure product is received and shipped properly.   The Dock Manager will also oversee and manage shift duties of the Warehouse dock staff.


  • Manage employees in Warehouse and work in conjunction with managers to maximize efficiency and minimize labor expenses;
  • Work with Transportation Team
    • Track and monitor priority trucks and ensure they are loaded according to schedule;
    • Ensure outbound loads meet the required quality standards to reach destination and that they are properly labeled and loaded;
    • Assist Warehouse staff with any issues on orders;
  • Address issues with inbounds (out of spec, damaged materials, temperature, etc.) and follow up with buyers;;
  • Communicate with Inbound Team
    • Ensure product is received in properly;
    • Work with Warehouse staff on any issues receiving product;
    • Communicate and Fix weight issues reported after receiving as required;
  • Maintain relationship and communication with USDA
    • Ensure USDA coordinators are doing their job properly;
    • Maintain proper records according to standard operating procedures and ensure the completeness of the documentation;
    • Report any issues found to USDA;
  • Resolve any issues that Quality Control discovers on inbound and outbound load inspections;
  • Work with Quality Control on returning hold tags in a timely manner
    • Report on containers carried over to next day;
  • Support materials manager with inventory tasks as required:
    • Investigate and locate missing product from orders shipping that day;
    • Manage the Missing Report by investigating movements, communicating with the inventory team and sending updates when necessary;
    • Rectify lots identified in the discrepancy report and research errors to balance financial system and prevent future order issues;
    • Complete Warehouse Management System (WMS) adjustments, which are sent from IT and Inbound team periodically;
    • Perform cycle counting tasks with inventory team;
  • Support and Manage warehouse issues and projects as required;
  • Support warehouse improvement projects as required;
  • Work with temporary agency to source labor according to needs.


  • High School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred
  • Ability to read, write and clearly speak in English
  • Be able to communicate clearly and concisely to team and across different departments of the business
  • Hold a forklift driver certification for 3+ years
  • Be a strong leader who will mentor and develop staff
  • Possess excellent computer skills including strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Be able to read, understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring compliance by staff
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug test as well as random drug tests as requested
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Understand and abide by all safety regulations as well as policies and procedure set forth by the client.
