Description

Welder Fabricator - 2nd shift

Our client in Kennesaw, Ga has an immediate opening for a Welder Fabricator. A Fabricator prepares, fabricates, and welds various metal constructions, components, and structures. They work from patterns and blueprints, using a variety of tools and machines to make metal parts or assemble components. This is a Direct Hire opportunity.
     
Responsibilities:
  • Complete work in a timely fashion and according to all company safety guidelines
  • Perform visual inspections and ensure the product matches specifications
  • Ability to review a drawing, lay it out in the flat, and fabricate correctly  
  • Position and weld parts to form complete units or subunits, following blueprints and layout specifications
  • Grind and finish pieces and products
  • Operate and perform drilling, tool assembly, power tools, and more (extrusions only)
  • Perform day to day fabrications and assembly operations
  • Set up and operate equipment
  • Maintain workspace
  • Lifts and positions components on assembly table
  • Verifies metal components
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed

Qualifications:    
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Ability to safely operate miter saw, shear, brake press, grinders, and other shop equipment
  • Basic reading and math skills
  • Must be able to follow directions
  • Forward thinking and initiative
  • Working knowledge of basic hand and power tools
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
  • High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
  • Ability to work independently or within a team
  • Safety conscience
  • Regularly lift 30-50 pounds with no assistance
  • Regularly perform repetitive tasks
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time (8 to 10 hours per day)
  • Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately
  • Must be able to bend, twist, push, pull and squat regularly

Shift:
  • 2nd Monday-Friday 2PM-10PM
